Testimony about Forgiveness from Kakuma Refugee Camp Trauma

John Ejang Deng states on forgiveness, “In 2011 I was in Uganda for studies and work while my brother David was doing business.

My brother asked me to lend him some money for business, I gave him South Sudan pounds 40,000. Later when I went to Juba and asked for the money he told me he did not have money and told me to go to Police and open a case if I wanted. Disappointed and with no money for my tuition I returned to Uganda and eventually back to the camp in Kakuma. My wife worked hard and bought a motorcycle that made money and I was able to complete my tuition and studies later.” Sometime later John went to Juba and again met with his brother David and hugged him, invited him for lunch and forgave him.
